Abstract

The study assesses the factors affecting employee performance appraisal practices of top water bottling company of Ethiopia using a data collected from 158 employees of top water. The main purpose of the is to close this gap in the literature and attempt to provide empirical support for it by identifying the key variables influencing the employee performance appraisal of top water. The study utilized primary data collected from the employee’s using questionnaire and interview. To address the objective of the study, the study employed descriptive statistics tools and multiple regression model. Accordingly, the finding of the study indicates that sound management of the appraisal process and good communication by the company enhances employee performance appraisal. Thus, the company should emphasize on devising and promoting sound management of performance appraisal process so as to enhance its effectiveness in appraising employees. The company should also focus on strengthening and monitoring good and quality communication from top management to expert level employees as it significantly improves the company’s capacity in execution of performance appraisal.
